Incheon National University HUSS Promotional Booth at the 24th World Korean Business Convention

Approximately 50 Students Participate in Event Planning, Booth Operations, and Company Support… INU Signs MOU with the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Australia

The HUSS Inclusive Society Initiative Project Group at Incheon National University (INU), led by President Injae Lee, operated a student-led experiential learning program titled “Global Inclusive Business Plan” at the 24th World Korean Business Convention, held at Songdo Convensia from September 28 to 30.

Approximately 50 students, including members of the HUSS Inclusive Society Initiative Project Group, the GTEP Project Group, and other INU students, participated in various activities. These included assisting with operations at the Incheon Metropolitan City promotional pavilion, planning and managing the INU HUSS promotional booth, supporting exhibitors, introducing the event to visitors, and producing promotional content.

Students designed the content and activities for the HUSS promotional booth. Visitors were invited to answer quizzes about INU and HUSS and take part in a roulette game. On the first day, the Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City and the Chairperson of the Incheon Metropolitan Council visited the booth. The President of INU also visited on the second day. They participated in the activities prepared by the students and spoke with the participants.

Throughout the event, promotional videos introducing INU and HUSS were displayed on digital signage at the Incheon Metropolitan City promotional pavilion. Students also interacted with visitors from Korea and other countries while wearing the costume of INU's mascot, “Hwaetburi.” They visited the exhibition hall and participating booths to produce videos introducing activities at the convention.

At the exhibition hall, students assisted participating companies with booth operations and meetings with visitors. They also had opportunities to speak with company representatives and learn about products, services, and business activities in different countries. Through these experiences, students gained practical knowledge of how companies participate in international exhibitions.

Memorandum of Understanding Between Incheon National University and the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Australia for Educational Programs and Cooperation Activities

During the convention, INU signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Australia. The agreement provides a basis for future activities involving the HUSS Inclusive Society Initiative Project Group, including educational programs, student exchanges, and practical learning opportunities.

Professor Ok Woo-seok of the School of Global Trade & Service, Director of the HUSS Inclusive Society Initiative Project Group, said, “This World Korean Business Convention was meaningful because students participated not only as visitors or event assistants but also took part in planning and operating programs and interacting directly with companies and business representatives.”

He added, “We will continue to provide practical learning opportunities that connect university education with activities involving local and international organizations.”

Following the convention, the Project Group plans to maintain communication with participating companies and Korean business organizations outside Korea and develop additional educational programs, including activities related to career exploration, internships, and business experience.
